ICRTouch award marks successful year of Yorkshire Payments EPOS division
We are delighted to have recently won an industry award marking the success of the first year of our specialist electronic point of sale (EPOS) division.
Yorkshire Payments won the Best Newcomer category at the 2020 ICRTouch Partner Network Awards, designed to celebrate excellence in the electronic point of sale industry.
We launched our EPOS division back in February 2019, following a £200,000 investment designed to ensure we could provide businesses across Yorkshire with access to complete EPOS hardware and software solutions as part of our ever-growing merchant services offering.
Our head of operations, Melissa Simons, heads-up the team that scooped the award. She said:
“We’ve enjoyed a very successful 12 months since launching our EPOS offering. We now have more than 50 EPOS clients and this number continues to grow, supported by our in-house team of EPOS experts.
“Being named best newcomer in these awards is a fantastic accolade that marks a successful year and celebrates the excellent relationships our team has developed with ICRTouch and our EPOS clients across Yorkshire and beyond.”
Our managing director, James Howard, added:
“While we continue to focus on providing Yorkshire businesses with cost-effective access to card payment solutions and chip and pin terminals through our core offering, our EPOS division has been instrumental to our growth over the last 12 months and goes from strength to strength.
Simply put, an EPOS system is a till point or hand-held device, like an iPad, that uses software to record information about each transaction. That information can then be used to generate detailed reports that give a deeper insight into trading activity.
For example, productivity can be reviewed by monitoring what time staff clock in and out of the EPOS system, and stock and inventory can be checked using data that is updated automatically following a sale."
