We’re a friendly bunch here at Yorkshire Payments, so we thought we’d let you get to know the team that keeps everything ticking over at our HQ in Brighouse.

Today, it’s the turn of Finance Analyst, Charlotte Wainright

Hi Charlotte! Tell us a bit about what you do at Yorkshire Payments.

You’ll normally fine me producing monthly commissions for both internal employees and external partners, analysing data from the acquiring banks and processing billing from our terminal suppliers.

Sounds good. And what’s your favourite part of the job?

I’d have to say it’s working with such a lovely group of people.

What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

I think they’d say approachable, kind and helpful.

Best known in the Yorkshire Payments office for…

Washing up and generally cleaning up after people!

What do you think makes Yorkshire Payments stands out from its competitors?

The Yorkshire Payments team. We have grown rapidly over the last few years in terms of staff numbers, and we’ve even had people leave and come back to work with us as they miss the unique culture we have created within the business.

I make it my business to get to know every team member personally so I know what makes them tick to help them be the best they can be. I also sit among the team in the main office, to join in the banter and create a sense of transparency so they know what’s going on in the business.

Without the team, the business wouldn’t exist, so we treat them well and do all the little extras like employee of the month and staff nights out. They know we care, but it’s always nice to demonstrate it, too.

Time to blow your own trumpet! What’s the nicest bit of feedback you’ve received from a customer or colleague?

“Charlotte has a reliable, hard-working attitude, is always willing to assist and committed to getting the job done”. How nice is that?!

What three words do you think describe the Yorkshire Payments way of doing things?

I’d say we’re efficient, friendly and honest.

Away from work, what are we most likely to find you doing?

You’ll catch me watching movies and spending time with my two children and partner.

What’s your favourite spot in Yorkshire?

York

And your favourite Yorkshire saying?

“Owt’s better than nowt”.

Last time you paid in cash?

Two days ago.

Last thing you bought on your card?

My supermarket shopping.
