We spoke with our Finance Analyst Charlotte to find out about her role in the business and what her predictions are for card payments over the next 5 years.
Q1: What is your job role within the business? tell us about the role.
Answer: Finance Analyst – I calculate commissions for several areas within the business. I review monthly bills from Suppliers and ensure they are correct to our records. I also analyse the monthly Bank reports, comparing to previous months. I produce various ad-hoc reports and feed data into other teams within the business which contribute to their roles.
Q2: How do you think that card payments in the UK will evolve over the next 5 years?
Answer: I think cash will be used less and less. Card payments will still be widely used and terminals will have a very different look – like how phones have developed over the years with touch screens. I think there will be a rise in contactless payments using mobiles too.
Q3: What’s something you enjoy about the business and the services we provide to our clients?
Answer: I like that when Customers call into us they can speak directly to a person, and specifically who they may have met face to face for install, emailed with or spoken previously to set up their new contract.
We have a good on call service that can assist our customers over the weekend and evening after working hours.
We have good social media coverage providing regular updates and useful item/videos to assist with some of the on-call issues we get.
