We’ve had a hat-trick of awards shortlistings this year!

We’re pleased to announce that our founder and managing director James Howard, has been shortlisted for ‘Business Person of the Year’ in this year’s Halifax Courier Awards.

This follows our recent recognition in both the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards and the Huddersfield Examiner Business Awards, making it a hat-trick of award shortlistings this year!

The Halifax Courier Business Awards provides the opportunity to demonstrate to a wider audience what a great place Calderdale is to work and do business, showcasing business successes across ten award categories.

The black-tie awards evening will be taking place at The Venue, Bowers Mill in Halifax, on Friday 1st December.

The evening will commence with a drinks reception from 6.45pm, followed by a three-course dinner. The awards, which will be hosted by TV presenter Jon Hammond, will commence at 9.30pm. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Yorkshire singer Julie Diamond.

We are also the official sponsors of the ‘New Business’ category, which will be awarded to a business that has been established in the last two years and that has a clear business strategy in place, and a substantial understanding of the needs of a growing business.

Our managing director, James Howard, comments:

‘I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. This shortlisting is extremely humbling, I am so proud to be in the category for Business Person of the Year. I am thoroughly looking forward to the event.

“I’m honoured that my business is able to sponsor the ‘New Business’ category, having built up our own company from scratch, we strive to support small businesses in the local area.’

Halifax Courier Editor, John Kenealy, said:

“The big night will no doubt again deliver stories of enterprise and amazing achievements of inspiring individuals.

The diverse range of business is superb, new businesses have cropped up in recent years, they have succeeded against the odds and are flying high.”
