Following our award win with Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month awards in October 2016, we were automatically shortlisted in Eaton’s Smith’s annual competition to find the Business of the Year.
The Huddersfield law firm’s yearly awards were held at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top on Friday the 30th June 2017. A breakfast event, the awards ceremony was attended by a 175 local business figures, award judges and representatives. The winner of each monthly award over the past year was invited to compete for the 2017 title of Business of the Year.
The Mayor of Kirklees Clr Christine Iredale congratulated the award winners, who were announced by Eaton Smith senior partner Mike Webb. Speakers included winner of the 2016 award, Andrew Pearson, of process engineering consultancy Manrochem, based in Brighouse.
Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award was established in 1995 and is open to any business operating within the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas.
Our founder and managing director commented on Yorkshire Payments’ success at this year’s Business of the Year awards:
“It is an honour to have been named among other local businesses doing great things in the area. We are a young but fast-growing business and the awards success is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team since our inception. We have ambitious plans to continue on our path of success and the whole team is looking forward to a bright future for Yorkshire Payments.”
